Cheese talks

I have a variety of cheese-themed sessions for you to choose from

  • A look at territorial cheese, and how Lancashire ended up with three cheeses to its name!

  • If you love brie and camembert, then come on a journey to discover some amazing soft cheeses made here in Britain which will blow your socks off.

  • There is a long history of great cheese making in the north of England, so let’s use my winning formula and create a selection of classic and modern northern greats for your cheeseboard.

  • Sure, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland have some iconic cheese. But we have British cheesemakers taking those styles and knocking them out of the park for taste! Join me on a grand tour, but you can leave your passport at home!

  • We all know there are great cow’s milk cheese’s out there, but what about goat, ewe…and even buffalo milk? Prepare to find some new favourites.

I can also work with you to create something to your own theme. Maybe you want to hold an event around a specific date, such as Burns Night, or have a topic in mind. Whatever your idea, let’s build the best event possible for you and your guests.

What you get

I will bring with me cheese and accompaniments. I can present to your group with accompanying slides if you have projection available, or with some basic handouts if not. Each session will last around an hour and of course I will tidy everything away at the end.

At the end of your session, your group will be given a link and/or a QR code so they can find info about the cheese we have sampled and where to buy it.

Food businesses

If you are in the business of selling cheese, we can work together to build a session around some of the cheese in your counter and you can provide your own samples. This could be ideal for boosting your sales, especially if you make it available to buy on the night, or offer a discount code for attendees.

Sessions in October / November would be ideal for encouraging Christmas custom – please book ahead!

Peace of mind

I come with allergen / ingredient sheets and public liability insurance. As some cheese is made with raw milk, I will be sure to mention this to your guests at the start of the session and accompanying crackers are served on a separate plate. Please talk to me about allergens or intolerances when you book.
